Sheren Kinau

A detail-oriented newly admitted lawyer with a background in PNG Studies and International Relations. Being a stickler for rules and procedures, I was able to use my skills in Social Science Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods to conduct a comprehensive legal analysis of the transnational nature of illegal logging in PNG for my major research paper. Going forward my goal is to combine my passion for serving humanity and upholding the rule of law into a policy and compliance role where I can assist in developing effective policies to address gaps in legislation efficiently.

• November 2023- Awarded a certificate of Participation for completing the 24th Civil and Criminal Advocacy Workshop conducted by the Legal Training Institute in partnership with the PNG Local Bar
• September 2023- Awarded a certificate of participation for completing the 11th Commercial Law Litigation Workshop conducted by Legal Training Institute in partnership with the Queensland Bar Association
• June 2023- Awarded a certificate of Completion for completing the Intensive Advocacy Skills Workshop conducted by The Victorian Bar Inc. in association with Legal Training Institute
• Awarded the 2019 Joseph Rainbubu Award for Research Excellence
• Awarded the 2019 DWU Bronze Medal for Academic Excellence
• October 2017 Awarded the Certificate of Achievement for successfully completing the Jnr Toast Masters Program at DWU.
