EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

I am an advocate of providing health, education, and protection from NTDs to the society leading to development and stability of the countries. Through my everyday work in WHO, I have tried to address inequity in health care delivery system, health services reaching the most vulnerable and neglected section of the population. I have the experience of being a frontline health worker, district level health planner for Polio Eradication program, Routine immunization strengthening, disease control activities at zonal and state level and implementation of interventions for elimination of NTDs bringing out changes at policy levels. I have also gathered experience in collaborating with national and state authorities, WHO Regional Office and Headquarters, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, national centres of excellence and other stakeholders to strengthen the implementation of the Lymphatic Filariasis program including policy formulations, preparation of manuals and guidelines, implementation of MDA, program reviews, monitoring and evaluation activities and capacity building at national and sub-national level. With the rich experience of working in World Health Organization for ten years, I have gained a deep insight in the field of health system management, program planning and implementation especially in the field of Routine Immunization, Neglected Tropical Diseases Elimination and Health Information System Strengthening. I have imbibed the work culture and ethos of the organization I have worked for and synchronized my professional goals with it of working towards ‘Health for all’.   • Collaborated with RO and relevant partners to coordinate support to the National Department of Health NDOH and relevant Provincial Health agencies in planning, preparation, capacity building, implementation and monitoring of MDA campaign against LF in East New Britain Province and integrated MDA against LF, yaws, scabies and intestinal worms in West New Britain Province
  • Supported NTD focal points in NDOH in compilation, review and finalization of Joint Application Package, composed of Joint Reporting Forms (JRF), Joint Request for Selected PC Medicines (JRSM) and Epidemiological Data Reporting Forms (EPIRF), for PC diseases (lymphatic filariasis, soil-transmitted helminthiases) for coordinated donation of the requested medicines to countries in time of interventions
