· Provide technical support and engineering solutions for all avionics-related issues (e.g., communications, navigation, surveillance, flight control, instrumentation, etc.).
· Evaluate and resolve avionics defects, discrepancies, and recurring issues by analysing data and implementing corrective actions.
· Review and assess Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Engineering Orders (EOs), and OEM communications to determine applicability and impact.
· Develop, validate, and release Engineering Orders or Technical Instructions for avionics modifications, upgrades, and repairs.
· Monitor avionics system reliability trends and propose proactive maintenance strategies.
· Support aircraft delivery, redelivery, and modification programs, including cabin systems and connectivity upgrades.
· Act as a liaison between the airline/operator and OEMs, MROs, and aviation authorities regarding avionics issues.
· Ensure compliance with applicable aviation regulations (e.g., Local regulator -CASA PNG, EASA, FAA, ICAO) and company engineering procedures.
· Participate in root cause investigations of avionics incidents or failures and support safety reporting processes.
· Provide technical input for component selection, vendor assessments, and reliability improvement programs.
· Support training and knowledge transfer to maintenance personnel on new avionics systems or changes.
