    Responsible for providing advisory services and direction to all business and support areas regarding Papua New Guinea's legislations, regulations, prudential standards, directives, regulatory requirements, and/or compliance risks.

    • Responsible for providing support to the Chair of the Board and Audit & Risk Committee regarding Board Secretarial duties. This also includes managing the payment of Director fees.
    • Responsible for maintaining the Compliance Obligations Register and providing regular updates to the Senior Management and Board of Directors on the company's level of compliance.
    • Assist with developing an effective risk management framework, risk register and developing tools and methodologies to support the company in identifying and managing risks.
    • Assists the Head of Compliance (Pacific) with managing/tracking of corrective actions emanating from external auditors, agencies etc. to ensure corrective/remedial action plans are adequately implemented.
    • Responsible for undertaking and submission of Fit & Proper assessments for New and Existing Responsible Persons.
    • In conjunction with the Head of Compliance (Pacific), responsible for the effective implementation of the company's AML/CTF program.
    • Maintain a current understanding of changes in PNG laws/regulations and advise Senior Management on changes that may affect the company's operations and/or departmental processes and activities and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and consistency with industry expectations.
    • Responsible for managing the process for drafting of all company-wide policies/procedures/frameworks/manuals and reviews.
    • Maintaining, enhancing, and implementing an effective compliance assurance program and compliance training program.
    • Responsible for drafting/preparation of all correspondences with the Bank of Papua New Guinea and/or other regulatory bodies in consultation with Senior Management.
    • ·Work closely with Digicel (PNG) Limited, Legal & Regulatory Department with legal-related matters including reviewing contracts/agreements/ etc.
    • Responsible for reviewing new business proposals to highlight key risks that might impact the business as well as propose solutions to mitigate these risks where possible
    • Responsible for developing training rules and processes for staff and Agents to meet International standards of awareness and controls in relation to Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing, Know Your Business/Customer as well as other compliance-related trainings.
    • Responsible for conducting due diligence checks for international remittance transfer partners.
    • Responsible for statutory/regulatory reporting requirements in a timely and accurate manner
    • Provide oversight on payment processes
    • Provide oversight on all contractual agreements entered by the company with its Agents/Merchants/Billers to ensure they are KYB/KYC compliant
    • Responsible for attending any conferences/meetings/workshops facilitated by the Bank of Papua New Guinea and/or external stakeholders.
